Lunch Team
- Arrival Time: 8:45-9:00 a.m.
- Lunch: Delivered on-site.
Why are we asking people to serve in this way?
It takes a lot of people to support this one-day, citywide effort! Most of our more than 2,300 volunteers are assigned to serve at a single site, but some will be asked to serve in more specialized support roles: driving around town in their trucks, picking up brush and other debris, or delivering much-needed tools or lunch to all those volunteers serving our neighbors.
That means someone needs to organize well over 2,300 lunches! That’s what this incredible servant-hearted team does.
Led by a team leader who has coordinated thousands of meals for ForColumbia for years, the Lunch Team organizes lunches for delivery to nearly 100 sites, ensuring every single one of our 2026 volunteers gets a good meal in the middle of their workday.
What can I expect?
This group of volunteers will meet at Memorial Baptist Church to:
- receive the 2,300+ lunches from multiple vendors;
- organize those meals for delivery to 100+ addresses, and;
- potentially provide last-minute deliveries to sites nearby.

Can my children serve with me?
Yes, this is a great way for kids to serve with their parents!
