Why are we asking people to serve in this way?

It takes a lot of people to support this one-day, citywide effort. While most of our volunteers are assigned to work at specific locations, we need a few key teams of “roaming” volunteers on the day of this event — people actively supporting ForColumbia’s efforts in the city.

The Photography and Videography Teams are just one of those roaming forms of support. With all the amazing work happening all over our city, we want to document it!

What can I expect?

ForColumbia 2024 Volunteer T-ShirtsYour site leader will contact volunteers assigned to these teams and provide  a list of serving sites.

  • Each volunteer will be responsible for visiting and documenting the work being done at the handful of sites they are assigned to.
  • Be sure to speak to the leader of each site you visit.
    • You want to ensure you document all the work being completed at that location, inside and outside.

What should I bring?

    • Your camera and/or video equipment, of course!
    • Be sure to wear your #ForColumbia T-shirt!

Can my children serve with me?

Several serving sites have volunteers using construction equipment, chainsaws, and wood chippers. Others are located on busy streets. Because of this, we don’t recommend that children younger than high school accompany their parents when serving on this team.
