Why are we serving here?
One of the ways ForColumbia strives to love and serve our neighbors is by serving those non-profit organizations that are actively working every day in the lives of people in Columbia.
Camp Hickory Hill is a residential camp just five miles north of Columbia that sustains a community, culture and medically sound program of support for persons with diabetes.
Many kids with serious medical diagnoses like diabetes are not able to attend summer camps. The vision of Camp Hickory Hill is to enhance the self reliance and capacity of children, adolescents and their families living with this condition. Campers learn the skills necessary to live long, healthy, successful lives with diabetes.
We believe your time will be well spent serving this special place in our city.
