ForColumbia Prayer Walk

Prayer Walk Scheduled for Sunday, April 23rd, 2-4 p.m.

Join Us April 23rd and Pray for Our City

Psalm 127:1-2
Unless the Lord builds the house,
those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the watchman stays awake in vain.
It is in vain that you rise up early
and go late to rest,
eating the bread of anxious toil;
for he gives to his beloved sleep.

As you might expect, there are many, many people who have been hard at work for months in an attempt to give Christians from 48 Columbia-area churches an opportunity to live out their faith through service to our city.

In and amongst all our “doing,” however, we recognize that it’s all too easy to forget that our very best efforts will come to nothing if God Himself is not with us. His Holy Spirit must go before us to grant favorable conditions – good health and great weather – to open hearts and minds and grant us success in our effort.

One of the most effective ways we have found to keep this truth in front of us is to pray and admit our helplessness.

The ForColumbia exec team would like to invite you and others to also join us this Sunday, April 23, as we walk through some of the areas where our volunteers will be serving. Please consider joining with us as we ask God to forward His Kingdom in our city, as we seek to imperfectly live out His call on all our lives, to love and serve our neighbors (Mark 12:28-31).
