Parkade Baptist: Teacher Appreciation Serving Project

Parkade Baptist: Teacher Appreciation Serving Project*

Rain or Shine!

Why are we serving here?

One of the ways ForColumbia strives to love and serve our neighbors is by looking for ways that put us directly and personally in touch with our neighbors. This year, one of our partnering churches – Parkade Baptist Church – is organizing volunteers to put together appreciation gifts for teachers from some of our public schools. Few of us would argue against the idea that teachers work hard at often thankless jobs. This year we are delighted to have some of our volunteers working to say “Thank You” to these hardworking teachers who are educating our children and therefore serving our families all year.

What can I expect?

ForColumbia volunteers will be working inside to put together gift bags with donated and purchased items. They may also be baking goodies to include in the gift bags, which will all be delivered during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 2-6.

What should I bring?

Just yourself! Parkade Baptist and ForColumbia will provide all supplies.

  • Be sure to wear your #ForColumbia2022 T-shirt!

Can I serve here with my children?

Yes, this project is great for young children and their parents, or for those who need to sit while serving!
