ForColumbia 2018 to Add ‘Prayer Hubs’ to All Six City Wards
Planning for ForColumbia 2018 is well underway! The executive team is excited to announce that this year, ForColumbia is increasing the number of opportunities for Columbians to join in prayer for the good of our city by hosting a “Prayer Hub” in every ward.
Prayer has always been a part of the planning of ForColumbia as we recognize that nothing good will come from our efforts unless God’s hand is directing us. Last year, we encouraged partnering churches to join us in praying for the ForColumbia effort as part of our Prayer Team. This year, on April 28th, every ward in our city will have at least one Prayer Hub, located such that Christians who want to serve their city in prayer can more easily do so. We plan to seek God’s face for specific situations, for our city officials and civil servants, for the work being done all around the city on that day…and a host of other needs.
Perhaps you are not able to swing a hammer, climb up a ladder to paint, or dig a hole to plant flowers, but anyone can gather with other believers to seek the good of our city through prayer. God hears and responds to the prayers of His people! In addition to Prayer Hubs on April 28th, we have a prayer team you can join now.
Psalm 127:1 (ESV)
Unless the Lord builds the house,
those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the watchman stays awake in vain.
